Bikes on dykes?

I saw a lot of them in Holland in May, has anyone else seen a lot of old bikes on dykes?

Know what you're on about, but in this context I think it's usually 'dike'. Complete with little boy with obligatory finger-in-hole, of course!

I the fens a dyke is a drainage ditch.

I've seen a few bikes in dykes.
