Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I'm a recreational biker in the Gold Canyon area of Phoenix. I am looking for information from others who have wide feet. I really need to find new biking shoes, it seems all the biking stores carry are normal width shoes, these are all way to narrow for my feet. I've searched online and have found some possibilities. I really don't want to spend a lot of money on shoes. Any info or insight would be great. Thanks.

Unfortunately most of the wider fitting shoes are often the more expensive ones. Brands like Lake or Sidi have wide versions but you are going to have spend a bit even if you get them in a sale.

No luck, I am afraid. I have 4E feet and cannot find any shoes that fit. My current - and earlier shoes - all have slits cut into the sides to accommodate my platform feet. I have bought on-line 'wide' shoes but they are never as advertised.
It's pretty hot now in Phoenix, I can't imagine living there (but then I cannot imagine living where I do). I drive through Phoenix on my occasional trips to way to California and that is enough. Lovely state though, if only a little cooler. Friends have lived in Green Valley, very nice.

Some years back I purchased a pair of FIVE TEN FREERIDER CANVAS FR/Dirt shoes and they are good and wide (I have bunions both feet (both sides of one foot).

They are flat (not clipless/SPD).

No idea if still available but if not maybe a good brand to look at in more detail.
