Cycling in this morning was hard work in that gale wind, not to mention the few floods on the country roads and cars not allowing for me to be blown about in the gales!
I heard my hubby giving the older kids the don't bother with umbrella's talk just before he set off on his bike this morning. The youngest and myself will set off shortly and hopefully not get blown around too much on the bikes.
Meanwhile wondering how my aunts are faring in Northern Ireland ... one has a good view of the Glenshane Pass from her house.
Steady 40 mph in NE Fife yesterday, down to 30 mph this morning from the NE. Left the bike at home and used the motor for the 2nd day. Some local roads closed with fallen trees and floods.
Not a good day at all. My speeds dropped by about 5mph and I was blown all over the road, was good when the wind was behind me but that was short lived.
Why is the wind never behind me? It's always coming towards me slowing me down or beside me trying to knock me off. Was like riding through a bog this morning.
Horrid wind this morning (oh err), even had to work hard to go down hill, still I remembered to swap back to my winters gloves this morning, hands were rather cold yesterday.
