Lightweight. On one of my export sales trips to Nigeria it's like that for two weeks, with the added stress of Lagos traffic and trying to get to meetings through the potholes and broken down trucks, all in the filth and sweltering heat.

True, there's always somebody worst-off

It's the glamour, that's what we do it for!

Those aren't the only two choices, Arch. My work paid me fairly well and was generally congenial, but most importantly hardy ever involved travel.

True - but actually I do enjoy my job, although the ability to leave it behind at work is a key factor.

I do get to do some travel at work some days - I travel into town on a Maximus trike, load it up and travel back to base. About a mile and a half each way. The other days I have the 'easy' option of the electric truck, not a vehicle to induce any kind of hurrying mindset, esp on a cold day with the charge dropping rapidly...
