Bummer. Thankfully I discovered the City Link driver for my area regularly delivers to my place of work (so knows the store lads etc) and is quite happy to give me a call if I'm not home and drop it off at work for me. The store lads then automatically give it to Mr Plax to take home for me. Which is very useful as half the time the box is too big to fit on my bike. I have them all well trained .

The city link driver for my area lives just up the road from my parents, and he knows us quite well, so.......... sorry Mr.P I know this is not what you need to read right now. Though I do have issues with Buisness Post instead.

My nearest Citylink depot is the other side of the Humber Bridge so I'd have to pay nearly £6 in bridge tolls for the pleasure of collecting a parcel:ohmy:.

Yes, UPS did that to me, the old 'rang the bell' trick which really means, that they got distracted by a McDonalds. I rang to complain the last time that happened, I doubt much happened, but I got my parcel the next day.

City Link are the worst by some distance. Their drivers would rather drop a card through your letterbox and drive off without even checking if you're in, as they did to me on two occasions.

Has happened to us too. I try to avoid firms that use them as their courier nowadays.
