I have a bad habit of putting my fingers in my mouth when I'm at work, so I could've told you this.
It's not as bad as brake cleaner.

I've been tempted, it does smell delicious. Even more dangerous is Fenwick degreaser, it smells and looks like Turkish delight.

I keep the temptation at bay by always having beer to hand whenever I'm doing bike maintenance.

It doesn't taste like them either !

And yes I did try on the different parts of the tongue .
