Boardman ADV 8.9 vs CX 8.9

Recently got a Boardman slr 8.9 used, at an excellent price and excellent condition. Absolutely loving it.

However, I would like to also have an off road bike more for light off road and trails than mountain biking as such. Thinking of staying within the same price range for now, if I get really into it I'll start splashing out on more expensive bikes.

Am very happy with the build quality and performance of the Boardman. So am considering the CX 8.9 or ADV 8.9.
Like the rugged look of the CX, but does seem a bit heavy at 11kg. The ADV 8.9 is 10.5kg. Wondering if either of these bikes would do for now, or if I'll be restraining my enjoyment due to the weight?

Meant more of the weight of either bike; wondering if the weight would be a restraint and worth paying more for a lighter bike.

10kg is fine. It's not exactly heavy. My Colnago CX is about 10kg - it's alloy/carbon. My old vintage road bikes are 9kg, but they were well specced ones for steel.

I'd be more concerned about getting something following the trend of more tyre clearance, for example the Ridley Kanzo can do ~52mm clearance in 1x or ~47mm clearance in 2x. Are the Boardmans still limited to ~45mm?

The carbon Boardman adventure bikes from around 2020 had a good rep and will save you a bit of weight over alloy, but it's more $$$$ and you might not notice the weight savings if you aren't a skinny racing snake.

I have an ADV 8.9. I can't say if it's better than a CXR 8.9 but if you did buy one, you wouldn't be getting a bad bike.
