Well, I have been to the LBS and had a look at the Giant defy 1( I know this bike wasn't an original choice of mine) and the Cube peloton race, and decided to get the cube, as was recommended by the salesman, due to the fact of the good spec of wheels, and the shimano 105 groupset.
Plus the fact when I saw her, it just felt right
I am getting this via the cycle to work scheme and have requested the certificate online.
Has anyone any idea how long this takes to be sent out?
A great choice there @rickbourne

I am going to do the exact same.

Wow, the list of Cycle Chat Cube Owners is groing by the day, like my nose hair, it's outta control.

Out of interest, which colour scheme have you gone for, black/red or white/red/blue ??

Congrats.

I actually didnt pick a colour while I was there lol.The one in the showroom was red white and blue.
I assume when I go with the voucher, I then pick a colour as he said it would need to be ordered in?
Think I would go for the black/red:smile:
They are both good in there own way

Quite right, no bad colours there, I am keen on the Union Jack scheme as iit's quite like my other bike, just different shades of red & blue, I have some matching components ready, is that quite sad ?

Well totally gutted, as cycle scheme declined my application for the amount i wanted, but would stretch to £540.
But as I had my heart on the cube peloton race, I decided to order it on 0% finance,.
Bike now ordered in black and red, delivery expected next Friday

Good to know you have ordered the Cube.

Wow, I didn't know you could be refused, I thought CycleScheme was a done deal all round, better brace myself then as my application is not yet done & I don't have a good credit rating any more.

Yeh, I didnt know they could refuse too, I too thought it was a done thing.
They said it was because it would put my wage under the national minimum wage if i got the higher end bike, which is strange as I work with someone who got the same bike, but works less hours.
Dont think it has anything to do with credit rating neither

Hope not.

I live & work in Greater Manchester so Nationally my salary is not fantastic but fairly good for the region.

I did Max out a credit card & overdraft after baby arrived & my O.T suffered as well as a 4 year pay freeze, just starting to recover from that so fingers crossed.

I hope you do get it, good luck with it, maybe companies have different criteria for it!

Cheers rickbourne.

I am a local gov't employee & don't know anyone at work who has done this (although I work alone 99% of the time so don't bump into colleagues so often).

How long did the process take before you were told ?

Edit.

Let us all know what you think of it when you have given it a good testing pal, lots of Cube fan boys on here.
