Aside from a maintenance free inner chaining, what moving parts does a 27 speed bike have that an 18 speed doesn't?

If you want maintenance free, get a single speed and get really fit, save a load of money too and can get something cool and hipster in a groovy colour

Only being able to get 1 bike into Evans at a time it would take me 3 weeks to test ride all these. I'm trying the pinnacle on Monday.
