Boardman Road Comp

Hi All

Got my C2W Scheme coming up in the next few weeks. Sadly they have gone for Hellfrauds this year, so i have a limited selection.

Looking at this as I need to get a new Helmet, some new Lights, Lock and some clothing too - Dont really want to spend more than £850 in total.

Has anyone got any experience with this bike - Does it need a couple of upgrades right away? Will automatically put my SPD pedals on it

I have not got personnel experience of that model as i have the previous road comp but apart from sora rather than apex it looks much of a muchness, Its ready to ride out of the box .
The wheels are a good solid set and i have done many club rides and a sportives on them before upgrading to RS11`s , nowt wrong with them and they now reside on my commuter.
You do know that halfords C2W can get you many brands of bike if you phone up halfords c2w and ask what the can get you at what price? I nearly went for a cannondale synapse a few years back before going for the boardman as it offered the most bang for my buck.

You can use halfords c2w vouchers at a number of independent stores too

I'm also considering this bike. I'm not limited to Halfords though.

Can't think of much that compares.

Also Halfords offer the first year repairs and service for £20 if taken out at time of bike purchase.

£20? See if they will up their offer to £100! That seems a more appropriate compensation for handling your bike.
