I was quite surprised at the cost - £30 for something that's already 12 years old and has had to be looked after for all that time. Seemed cheap to me.
if you have heating in office a water sprayer may be a good idea keep away from direct sunlight thru windows ,maybe keep bonsai tree pot on a small tray of soil which is damp this may help keep leaves healthy
apparently you're supposed to "overwater" them. i.e. give them more than you think they need and you're giving them the right amount. i was told in a shop that most of them die because the owners don't realise what thirsty little beggars they are.
I remember making a 'cheat' bonsai once about 20yrs ago... saw it on the telly... cut a bit off a hedge with very small leaves (can't really remember what I used), pot it in suitable shallow container, water it well... sounds pants, but it looked reasonably authentic, and lasted well over a year
