Ive just recieved my pair of Bont Vapors and i done the online measurement guide and im a 44.5(my Specs are 45).
Width wise there fine and the only slight issue i have is the toe next to my big toe is about 2-3mm longer which slightly touches the inside.
If i stick them in the oven can this be sorted out with the moulding sequence.

Thx

Is it worth contacting Bont for advice?

I have Vaypors. Great shoes. Definitely heat mould them, it's what they are designed for and if you have the right size they are virtually unwearable if they are not moulded. Get an in oven thermometer like this one as most built in thermometres are inaccurate. http://www.lakeland.co.uk/11235/Oven-Thermometer

Do the mould as per the Bont instructions. Once cooled you can reheat and mould again you want. If you have a certain area which needs pushing out, I would recommend using a hair dryer on that area and pushing it out with a blunt edge like a screwdriver or wooden spoon. Be cautious with the hair dryer, it heats the shoe much quicker than the oven!

THey take a little getting used to, they seem to get better with more rides. Amazing shoes though, get them right and the fit like a glove and there is nothing stiffer, makes Specialized and Lakes etc seem like Aldi specials. You really can feel the power out of the saddle and you will go quicker!

In the end I actually returned them and got the bont riots, which look better to me a seemed just as stiff.
Plus with the extra cash I got a kask mojito helmet.
