Bottom bracket cover help

I was going through my normal bike cleaning routine when I noticed today that the bottom bracket cover was missing on my Giant defy one 2012 . Its the one that has a screw thread and sits on the none drive train side. What is it called and does anyone have an idea on the size I need?
