In July I bought a Giant Propel Advanced 0, after being dazzled by the Ultegra Di2 and a generous discount.

I'm now finding it much less enjoyable to ride than my Roubaix; the hour test ride didn't really make me appreciate that the Giant is a more demanding bike in terms of rider input.

So I've decided to sell it, wondering if it would make sense to swap the Di2 over with the Ultegra 10 speed on my Roubaix first?

Opinions please....

Yes I would do the swap.

Interesting..... as I was looking at the Propel advanced range for my N+1 (not yet I hasten to add maybe next summer) and obviously the Di2 was the dream

May give it some thought as LBS have already said it is a totally different animal to the Defy2 I ride now.....

in answer to your question... If you aren't happy with it new.... it aint going to grow on you.... I'd do the swap and sell it You may even find this way has cost you less than buying a Di2 groupset

I was in the Giant concept store a few weeks ago and the guy in there was trying to put off a customer from taking a propel out for a test ride. He was saying how it was only good in a straight line and doesn't climb well. Trying to get the customer to take a TCR out instead. Regardless, I still fancy getting a Di-2 Propel

is the pleasure and performance gain you'd get on the up specced Roubaix worth the monetary hit you'd take selling the down specced Giant or splitting it somewhat to frame & groupset?

SRAM is already on the market, FSA were trialling one during Le Tour. Wireless is definitely on my radar should I still be alive and fit when prices eventually fall below "HOW FECKIN' MUCH?:ohmy::ohmy::ohmy:" levels.
Will they also work in a British winter in the mucky muddy lanes round my way? Leccy and water........

My 'puter stops working in rain due to contacts in the shoe getting wet and that's never down amongst the mud and sh!t where the gear mechs tend to be.

I'm not saying no I'll never use them just that I'd like to be sure they wouldn't just stop working in the wet.

We shall see

I think the TCR would be a better all rounder; the Propel is a great bike but I've been riding Roubaix models for so long it doesn't suit my needs. It climbs well enough but after 2 hours on it I've had enough.

I've no idea what I could sell the Propel for complete with Ultegra 10 speed, any views appreciated.

It's unmarked, done 500 kms only....
