Just seen this on watch again. He really stole the show - I think I forgot there was a quiz going on - it just seemed to be Brian Blessed doing his thing for half an hour. Which reminds me: they should get Tom Baker on again...

That's reason enough for me to watch it! I haven't watched it for several years because, well frankly I was bored with it, but I also thought Merton was WAY too aware of himself. I got sick of his smug little face, he's so pleased with himself when he gets a laugh.
