OK, first off a bit of housekeeping. I am posting this thread with the blessing of Admin, so now that's boxed off here we go................
I work at a Peugeot car dealership, and for 2012 Peugeot UK are official sponsors of BBC Children in Need.
Now I have been lucky enough to get a Peugeot bike from the supplier, and it is our intention to raffle it with ALL money going to Children in Need.
So, what is the bike then. Well it's a Peugeot CR02 road bike.........................
The full techs and specs of the bike can be found here; http://www.cycles.peugeot.fr/fiche-velo/model=CR02/undefined-3/ but the eagle eyed among you will spot the Campagnolo Veloce transmission and Campagnolo Khamsin wheelset straight off. I suppose an Italian influenced frameset just had to have Italian components on it didn't it?
The Peugeot range of bikes are supplied via Cycleurope who also supply Bianchi into the UK, and you can see that the frame design is heavily influenced by Bianchi as well.
The bike is a 56cm version and it will be shipped to the winner requiring a normal new bike PDI, ie: cable tensions, bolt checks, pedals (not included) etc. Or the bike could be collected from us in Bolton, BL1, but it will still require the above.
So how can you possibly win this brand new carbon fibre fly machine for £1? It's simple........
Just text PERR50 £1 to 70070, and where possible please do the gift aid as well
For the record, you can replace the £1 in the text with £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 if you'd like
and if you don't want to text you can visit our Just Giving page here, although I am informed the minimum donation this way is £2; http://www.justgiving.com/PerrysPeddlers
There is no limit on the amount of entries, so the more more times you donate the better your odds become
Please remember to add your name and contact details to all donations so we can include you in the raffle.
No name, no details = no entry, sorry.
The draw will take place on Children in Need night this year, but even though that's a few months away, once the summer is past it will be upon us before we know it.
The boring, (but necessary) bit - The bike prize is final, no monetary value will be offered in it's place and it cannot be exchanged for a different model or size, nor can it be used in exchange for any of our cars, garage services, parts or labour. The draw will be adjudicated by a member of staff from Peugeot UK, and the winner will be notified the same day. The draw result is final and binding.
Please remember ALL the money is going to Children in Need, we have no access to any funds donated by either of the methods I've listed.
So there you have it, for just £1 one lucky so and so will win a brand new carbon fibre road bike worth £1600. What have you got to lose?
When you have made a donation, please put a quick response on here as well just as Kristen Dean has done lower down. That way I can tie things up even if details don't come through for any reason, thanks
