Google street view. relatively narrow gap in a fence off a roundabout onto the cycle path (but going against the supposed direction of cycle traffic).

Nearly went straight into the side of someone using it this morning. Strictly speaking it would've been my fault as there are stop lines but I can't help but feel the design isn't great, and there are at least two better options for getting off that roundabout on a bike that don't require a 180 degree manouvre.

Rant over.

I know the one you mean - it would be far safer to direct cyclists towards the flyover and then immediately left to go through the underpass. Personally I would take St Crispins and then go down Oak Street - can't think of a reason why as normally from Pitt St I go over the flyover and round to Palace Plain and Tombland that way.

I know where you mean, but I've only ever cycled along the road there.

This is the most pointless ASL in Norwich. I've never seen anyone actually use it, everyone seems to carry on another few meters and wait just by the yellow box.

I use that RAB a lot and always wait in the ASL - I'll let you know when I do next so you can see someone use it
I did once witness a youth ride up through the middle and then cut across to the island bit just as the lights turned green...driver did not look happy.

I take the path up from Magdalen Street, so no chance to get on the road until that roundabout. Unless I go all round Whitefriars and over the flyover, but I don't much like cutting through solid traffic so the cycle path is quicker and easier. Just has some interesting design features along the way.

I'm sure people do use it properly, just I always seem to notice people not using that one. The ASLs on that roundabout are quite useful tbh.
