Brompton...What's this?

Hi All... This thing arrived with my Brompton. Struggling to suss it out, any ideas?

It's the handlebar catch assembly - the bars clip to it as they fold down; it sits on the top of the forks

The part, you posted a picture of, is the standard issue clip. There are plenty of better looking alternatives available. Perhaps someone has purchased one of those.

Don't chuck it. You might need it one day when the one fitted loosens, spins round and you break it when you drop the bars down.
