I'm amazed and not a little disappointed that 4 pages of cabbage related posts and not a single mention of the mighty Kohlrabi
I never buy Kolhrabi but I simulate the effect by peeling and cooking the stems of broccoli and cauliflower. I have to say, if you have a really fresh cauli with lots of stem, and you peel it and cut it into sticks, then offer it to someone unsuspecting and ask them to guess what it is, they would have trouble identifying it. So sweet and crisp. I hardly ever offer it to anyone as it is my secret cook's perk.
