Just take some acid put a couple of Cateye lamps into a washing machine with some washing up liquid. Start the washing machine. Stand back and admire the view.

I found that site before I found the Mathmos site but it's a lot less hassle to buy a ready made unit than to bugger about trying to make one.

whoa! The HAWKWIND FORUM! That's one birthday party invite on its way!

Damn, the days of oil wheel light shows are long behind us, but ! I do fancy getting an Opti Solar 250 projector, a 1/2 RPM rotator and some oil wheels - you can pick up old Solar 250's on eBay for about £100 and the oil wheels go for about £30 - then - sticking 'em in the garage, turning up "Interstellar Overdrive" to full belt. Let's throw in a strobe as well.

You do remember the times I brought along my funky little motorised laser light projector gizmo attached to my seatpost, to bemuse people as I overtook them, with the wobbly designs showing on the tarmac?

With Cateye waterproofing that isn't going to last long.

Don't you believe it. My TLD1000 has survived two full wash cycles. Even if they didn't last long, on acid it will have seemed like an eternity.
