Buying a Giant Defy 3 2012

Ok I have been offered a Giant Defy 3 (2012) for £150 only riden twice, great condition.

Could anyone advise the going rate for one of these bikes?

Also I'm 6'1 the size is XL would this be suitable

Any advice greatly appreciated

But it's a steal! A £600 bike in new condition. Can you grow a bit taller???

Try it for size .reach my be the issue ,handbars to far away .you could probably get away with seat height normally lots of adjustment

I'd prefer a coat rack myself, you won't get backache from riding it .

Think you'll need to be 6 foot 3 or above to fit the bike - hang on I know someone who's 6 foot 3 and would love this bike.

Certainly worth a punt - even if the bike's not suitable you'll easy get your money back.

To the OP, make sure the seller gives you his receipt for the bike, too many stolen bikes around, canny buyers will expect to receive a copy of the receipt

oh, I wouldn't trust "only been ridden twice" on a sight unseen bike from a stranger. If it's someone you know, or have reason to trust maybe then.

And £100 shipping, and it's probably too big - then it's not such a bargain.
