Before anyone mentions it, I do know that cyclechat has a clssified section. It seems to be more focused on higher end bikes. I've taken to buying bikes, fixing them up and selling them. It's a hobby, and I can make a bit.
Currently I have a 2011 GT avalance 3.0 in excellent condition. I would keep it if it wasn't so heavy and slugish on the road.
Currenly I buy and sell on Gumtree. One reason is that I don't have a car. I was contacted buy a potential buy that asked me to ship a bike. I was advised on this site for the potential of fraud. I"m considering listing this bike on ebay. I'm wondering what people on here think. Which site do you get more profit from (accounting for ebay/paypal fees) and which is less hassel.
It seems that I can do collection only with ebay, I'm not sure about cash transactions.
Also, which is the best site for looking up frame serials to ensure I do end up with a hot bike.
