I used to love his use and misuse of rhyming slang and common sayings(the lobster thing) but one
I could never decipher was when he talked about Terry's flat as a 'drum'.

It's old London slang rather then Cockney slang, Drumm was how it was spelt originally.

Any one remember him in a Life Of Bliss on steam radio.Petula Clarke played his girl friend.

His used car lot was 150 yards from where I live. It got turned into housing in the late 80's. They filmed quite a few pub scenes over the road.
