Bygone Bykes

I was browsing through a second hand book shop In Carlisle today and finished up bying a booklet called "Bygone Bykes" which was produced and published by "Bygone Bikes (Yorks) Club" Some great photos of old bykes in it and when I have time I will try and get permission off the club secretary Mr J W Auty to copy a couple of the photos on to these pages. The photo that really took my fancy was the one of an "Elswick with Fenton Zip sidecar c1931, the bike looks fairlymodern except for the carbide front lamp, an awsome saddle and the motor bike style sidecar that is supported with what looks like a 26inch wheel and attached to the left hand side of the byke. I would say that this would make the byke very unstable when cornering and almost imppossable to get any sort of speed going.
