im doing the c2c in may and im wonderin what would be the best road tyres to get for my bike as the tyres i have, have picked up 2 punctures in 2 weeks and need something more durable, any recommendations is great

+1 for those, durable and reasonably fast. The side walls are thin which keeps the weight down, but might be a bit of a disadvantage if going off road. (The one puncture I've had was a thorn through the side wall on a track)

Having just done it at the weekend with 25mm road tyres, I'd say nothing narrower than this if you're looking at using the trail route.

Mine were the Specialised Espoir Sport tyres that came on the Secteur and coped fine.

I ride with Schwalbe Marathon+ tyres. They're heavier than many, but offer exceptional protection against the puncture fairy! The (slight) increase in weight doesn't bother me at all, even when I'm NOT carrying tools on the bike.

Schwalbe Marathons are pretty good - I've done many miles touring on them without any problems. I currently have 25mm Michelin Krylion Carbon tyres on my audax bike which feel much more lively but still don't seem to be punture prone.
