Watching the No to Tescos in Bristol campaign, I wondered if Tina Turners Thunderdome anthem could be utilised with a few tweaks - especially the chorus.

What does the team think ?

1 Out of the ruins
2 Out from the wreckage
3 Can't make the same mistake this time
4 We are the children
5 the last generation
6 We are the ones they left behind
7 And I wonder when we are ever gonna change
8 Living under the fear till nothing else remains

9 We don't need another hero Tesco
10 We don't need to know the way home

I have no axe to grind with Tesco.

What have the Bristol community got against it?

Beats me vern, they have just proposed one a few miles from me and all the protesters seems to say is that it will take business from Asda and Morrisons which are nearby.

I am not aware that the planning officers can turn something down simpy because it will affect someone elses business.

all I can think of is 'homegrown'
