Morning all,

I am a recentish (December 24) convert to Rouvy, and love it so much, I bought a Wahoo kickr move (Also because I wanted to switch to a zwift cog and click which can be used in Rouvy)
I went for the move, as I benefit from the side to side movement, rather than being locked in, and the front to rear you can easily switch off.
On offer from Sigma, it also wasn't that much more than the v6.

I'm considering the climb, but will likely wait until next year, so the upgrades are spread out, but wanted to find out who has one on here, and what you make of it.

To work with the move, you need to buy a rocker base thing, and I was sorely tempted as Balfes had 10% off, plus there is 10% off through BC, so both the climb and base were coming in at under £500. It's back up over £500 on it's own now though.

I've been reading and watching reviews, and it seems relatively well liked, but I've also read reviews of people saying they have been through, for example, 3 units in as many years - that sounds quite hassletastic, and not in a baywatch way, so that makes me slightly cautious, as it's a sizable outlay.

I appreciate they may be isolated incidents, and in all likelihood those people are likely to pipe up more, but just wondered what experience there was on here, both in terms of actual usage/enjoyment increase, and critically reliability.

Interestingly the Elite version (riser?) looks WAY more meaty and solid, and would work with the v6, but due to the front to back movement, it wouldn't easily be compatible with the move, which is a shame.

Pictures of both below, because why not :-)

I've got a kickr climb. I got it when I upgraded from a V1 kickr turbo to V3 (2018) when the climb was released.

Unfortunately the V3 kickr turbo was plagued with problems and after 2 replacements, I ditched the Wahoo turbo and went with Tacx Neo.

There was talk initially that the two companies would collaborate to make the climb work with the NEO- never came to pass.

I still have the climb attached to my setup. I use it to adjust the handlebar height -if I'm doing a huge multi hour mountain climb.

Other than that , from the few times I did use the full feature of it going up and down whilst racing, it was satisfactory but not as engaging as I'd imagined.

I get more satisfying ride from my home made rocker board. You can see the climb
