That was a very lovely evening out. Still chilly at the halfway mark, but a lot warmer than last year. The new "DIY" stop model worked out nicely I thought, although perhaps just a little further into the ride than ideal. Sunrise over the fens is always a treat and the rest of the ride went very smoothly in to King's Lynn.

I tagged along back to Downham Market after breakfast, the bakery there does some truly stunning pastries. Then a fast train home from there. All in about 100 miles including station runs in London, so a pretty respectable way to spend a day.

I agree the stop would be better a bit closer to the middle, route would need more tweaking to cut a bit out. It's at 69k compared to 60k, closer to 4am is preferable. Changing the Cambridge section as you suggested might make it just a bit quicker to even it out.
