Cambridge tonight

I was on chauffeur duty for MrWC today, and this evening I was driving though Cambridge. Loads of cyclists, as usual, but what was good to see was that the vast majority had lights - and the lights were bing used.

Except for some silly cow who had a red LED on the front of her bike...

I noticed recently that the cops/pcso's are really clamping down on cyclists without lights in Cambridge. If they stop you, you have the choice of a fine (and walk home) or buy some lights off the coppers.

I was sitting on a bus pre Christmas and never spotted a cyclist until they moved their red led to the front.
I've noticed a lot more Ninjas lately now its nearly light in the evenings but then again perhaps they've been there all the time

I'm pretty good at noticing the great unlit for some reason. Not perfect but I have been in cars with someone driving and go "cyclist ahead!" Driver cant see them because they're unlit and wearing dark gear. I suppose its beneficial to have a passenger like that at times, extra set of eyes.

Speaking of lights... has anyone seen the amount of peoply riding with a green front lamp? Around here (southampton) theres a fair amount of them, seems they come from tesco. I wonder if they realise they're illegal on the roads..?

Saw some bloke last night with a Hi-Viz jacket and no lights.Different I suppose.
