I'm looking to buy a new video camera, mainly for use as front facing in my car. I would look to use it instead of my Muvi on my bike. However it needs to have as much battery/recording life as possible, 7 hours as a minimum. Does anyone know of a camera to do the job?

I would think you would either have to settle for poor quality footage or look at a higher priced and larger drive based camera.. High Quality video can use vast amount of data and far exceed any available card on the market if your looking at 7hrs continuous recording.

Go Pro, so versatile take it anywhere, strap to bike car or boat underwater as well, even put it on a rc helicopter, best camera ever.

Hmm, im not looking for amazing quality, HD or anything, and id be looking to spend max £200, id consider a camcorder and not use it on my bike.

Something such as this might be close to your needs with additional battery packs and storage cards.. standard it claims 6hrs battery life but its outside a 200 quid budget

If your down to a price point the Go Pro and Contour brands are great value, but will be well short of the seven hours battery/recording you state as a minimum requirement.

Go pro fanatics say you get 3 hrs, 10 min @ 1080/30. recording with the battery pack.
