Yesterday I popped a spoke and with my LBS being fully booked until July Ive decided to give respoking the wheel a go however as I have no car and the bike is needed for work I dont want to be caught short!

Im thinking of buying http://www.wiggle.co.uk/campagnolo-khamsin-clincher-wheelset/these and keeping the standard wheels from the allez as backups. I can get them with a shimano freehub and will fit an Sram cassette and new chain as well, anyone had/used them? Im currently 16 1/2 stone and was a bit worried about the relatively low spoke count but love the back wheel spokes etc.

I'm currently about 16 stone and have Khamsins on my Cannondale. No problems so far, having done a few hundred miles on them - I'm very pleased with them.

Incidentally, you might prefer to get them from Parker International and save yourself over £16! (I did even better on the Campagnolo freehub version which I got for the bargain price of £99.95!)

I just hunt wiggle for the pics and specs as no broadband so all is done via phone. I also need pads but got that sussed already! Lol

I do intend on loosing the belly but 16 st 7 is my plateau weight! Lol.

I'm running the older version of Campy Khamsins (less spokes, both wheels have the same spoke pattern as the rear) and I've not had a problem with them in the 5316 miles I've had them but they are used mostly in the dry and I weigh around 9.5st, so my experiences aren't that apt. I would however, check out other sites; Wiggle is usually the dearest, I Ribble usually the cheapest.
