My son just rang me to ask if I knew of any smallish, nice sites as he'd decided to pop up there this weekend and discovered that many are full. A bit of a long shot but some of you knowledgeable folk may have some inside info.

The church field at Overstrand. £5 per person per night, free hot showers, small on site shop, charcoal BBQ's allowed. The campsite is located on the cliff tops with good access to the beach, and a 2 minute walk from the village centre and pub, etc. It's also an easy site to get to on a bike.
If you really enjoy peace- go for Burnham Thorpe. You can sit on the meadow next to the stream and watch barn owls hunt in the evenings. Then you can go to the Lord Nelson (he was born in the village) pub. Village slightly spoilt by ridiculously bright street lights but luckily there are none where the camp site is here... http://www.whitehallfarm-accommodation.com/html/MainPage.htm
To the west at Burnham deepdale is an award winning site. It's near the marhses so good for birding/ star gazing. http://www.deepdalefarm.co.uk/
Both are around a 1.5 - 2 hour ride from King's Lynn station
