I have an old Betamax tape taken by a Canon or Nikon camcorder showing someone on a bike tour retracing the steps of Napoleon's great retreat from Russia (they'd stopped for breakfast and were eating toast with Marmite on). I know 99% of all people eat Marmite over Vegemite due to its tensile strength (not to confuse the deformation potential of a yeast spread with softness) except for Grant Peterson.
Anyway, they were riding a bike (sorry, don't know if it was steel or alloy) with Campy components. I was wondering what type of components people are choosing to tour on now that Shimano components are so cheap and readily available.
