Can any of you cycling experts tell me if this is a good deal please?

At 16kg, it is heavy and the tyres are rubbish. Kenda tyres are so thin they will puncture every time you go out. Apart from that, the rest looks ok but there are proper experts on here and I am not.

Where will you be cycling, roads, parts, forests, mountains? Have a look at the decathlon range, as well as the carrera subway

No its not a good deal. It's a £159 value bike being sold at the price it should be. It would be over priced at its higher price tag. As iothers have said . Save a bit and get a proper bike. You get what you pay for .

Id ask...what do you want a bike for, what are your requirements ?
MTBs are a bit old hat now (IMO)...hybrids have become the norm, better gearing, , suspension is available if you need it..and ask yourself, at 10 stone, do you need suspension?, with all the added weight it brings.
MTB tyres tend to be wider, more drag slowing you down. Hybrid tyres tend to be slimmer, reducing drag, couple that with better gearing for 'normal' conditions, thats why hybrids have become so popular.
That said, if you live in a really hilly area, perhaps the MTB gearing is more for you.
