I can see mine through a window, parked on its kickstand in t'other office just six feet away. It just dawned on me how sad it was to park it right there simply so that I could glance up at it at any moment....

Let's see...
Most of my bikes are safely locked away at home.
The one I've ridden to work lives in the building, and I can usually see it from where I work.

no as its downstairs in hall at moment.

when i go to work later it will be locked up next to security turnstiles whee a small army of ex Ghurkas regularly patrol. it will still be locked up with multiple locks though, being as it is Hackney wick after all

No, unfortunately.

2 are locked up in garage at home, 2 in the roof  , 2 in storage with a load of furniture (loft & storage bikes awaiting possible house move when "stable" can all be re-united) and 1 some 350 miles away at my parents up in Cumbria for when I go and visit.

I only have my bike in the office if either I forgot my lock, or I am going to be unable to ride home for some reason and am leaving it in the university overnight, or I am on the Brompton, which will be folded up in the corner. Today I am on my summer single-speed, so it's undercover but outside.

Today it's hung up on the wall behind the door to my office. Other days it may be locked in a secure plant room depending on which side of the site I enter from.

In the workshop, next to me, about 4 feet away.

Have to remember its there sometimes. I'll perhaps be using an angle grinder, look over my shoulder to see the bike being showered in sparks  ...or sometimes i'll turn round..and knock the bike over.
Its a huge plus to have the bike in your workplace, but not without risk occasionally.

I'm surprised how many of you have your bike in the 'office'..i've got visions of bikes being pushed through office blocks, in lifts, pushed up corridors....
