Hi everyone.
I have been looking for a new bike for quite some time and have a budget of £2,000. The supersix evo from cannondale with ultegra is one of the bikes I am interested in and the Wilier Gtr with Ultegra the other. Anyone out there with any experience of one of these 2 bikes ( or even better both).
I currently ride a 15 year old Condor alloy framed carbon forked bike and do a mix of commuting and 40 to 50 miles on a Sunday.
The new bike would be for Sundays and the odd sportive and longer rides with the old bike kept for the commute.
All advice greatfully received.

Hi @leyton condor

Unfortunately I have no hands on experience of either bike so can't give a valid answer.

All I can say is that the Cannondales are highly respected by forum members who own them, such as @smokeysmoo (sorry to keep dragging you in smokey, yours is the only Cannondale owners name I remember easily).

Also, I like Wilier bikes, mainly because they are not seen so often & have a bit of that Italian flair.

Thanks SteCenturion.
Just test ridden a cannondale this morning and it went really well. Thought it might be too aggressive but not the case. The shop even offers a free Retul fitting with it.
I can't seem to find a wilier gtr in my size anywhere so I think I will go with the cannondale unless someone can persuade me otherwise .

In between here and there
I have a SuperSix Evo Red. Fantastic bike and not just saying it because I bought it, I have bought bikes before and just not got on with them. I went from a 2010 Specialized Roubaix (comfort more upright) to the Evo and it is no less comfortable. I am no faster on it mind, but it looks faster and is in my favourite colours and most importantly for me has a straight top tube! ^_^

That's a hard choice, I don't have experience of either bike but they both look superb, I have a Cannondale MTB which has been superb, this together with the straight top tube would probably see me choosing the Cannondale.

My local shop have the GTR but not in my size and they will only get one in if I buy it. As mentioned above I have tested the Cannondale and loved the ride so will 99% go for that one. The company that I work for are strapped for cash at the moment so waiting for them to sort out the bike to work voucher. In the meantime I am getting BB30 paranoia. Anybody have any experience of this bottom bracket system?
