Cannot find the profile folders for Thunderbird..

or mozilla firefox. I have looked in the usual places and done a search. This is fueled by the need to back up to an external harddrive. what am i missing is there anyone out there who can help?

my folder view had keep hidden folders hidden selected, which is confusing as I normally have that turned off. thanks for help i had followed the path as set out but could not find them, now i know why.
