It was funny as the path had works going on it too so it was much safer to be on the road anyway, I think they were annoyed I had held them up for 10 seconds

Reminds me of the time one lane and the cycle track had been closed by police because two motorists had collided and landed across them. I joined the carriageway which was alternating flow along the only remaining lane. Daffodil driver of a 4x4 couldn't help himself but hit his horn and gesture to the (obviously closed) cycle track because I was "in his way"... police not impressed...It was funny as the path had works going on it too so it was much safer to be on the road anyway, I think they were annoyed I had held them up for 10 seconds
