Hi there


Can anyone recommend any good and reasonably priced car hire places at Gatwick airport – preferably ones who do not reserve up to £2,500 on your credit card!

I'm travelling from Glasgow to Southampton and the train is really really expensive and the bus is not that much cheaper than if I take my own car - the bus is also a PITA. Flights direct to Southampton are really expensive, so I thought about flying to Gatwick (which is cheaper) and hiring a car; I would have been hiring a car at Southampton anyway.

The worst comes to the worst I can always drive down from Glasgow. Did you see my shiny new road bike (I took your advice and the 51 is a perfect size - thank you)

I always use http://www.rentalcars.com for car hire both home and abroad. I doubt you will find better prices anywhere else.

They are based in Manchester so I always feel very comfortable when hiring abroad as I know I've got a UK based company to resolve any issues.
