Carbon Aero Wheel Brakes..

I'm thinking of getting some carbon aero wheels with alloy rims but the rims look different to normall rims so do I use standard brake pads or carbon ones..
The wheels are Mavic Cosmic pro carbon's

There are two versions of the Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbons

One with the standard alloy rim where you can use std brake pads suitable for an alloy rim - your clear metal rim that you describe.

The other is has an Exalith coating applied to the alloy rim to give superior braking in the wet - your coloured rim I think. These come supplied with special brake pads

That's right its the Exalith one's I've ordered..
