Does anyone know what is the smallest tyre I can put on the wheels? There are no markings on the rims. They came with 26 x 2.1 tyres, and I've put 26 x 1.75 on at the moment, but I'm too "scared" so go with anything lower than that for fear they won't fit the rims. The decal on the wheels say DDM-1 if that is any help.

measure the inner rim width, and it'll be around 19-25mm i guess

have a look at the red and green chart at the bottom of http://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.htmlto see the range of tyres suitable for the rims you have

1.95 is obviously about 49mm, whilst 1.2 is 30mm

the values that sheldon gives are perhaps a bit of a tight range, if you look at spa cycles for example, their sputnik can cope with a range of 28-51, and i'm happily using them for 56mm tyres.
