carrera zelos or virtuoso for a beginner

Which one would suit me the best carrera zelos or carrera virtuoso I have a limit of £300 to spend max can someone please help thanks nigel.

From one Hughes to another you might be better off with a older retro bike which would give you higher spec and a better ride. You need to know what you are looking at so best buy from a reputable source if you don't. @biggs682 might be able to help out on here.

I think the OP is set on a carrera , the virtuoso is £29 more than the zelos in store yesterday as i happened to look as i was in to get a mech hanger for my vanquish .We know that the merlin and the triban bikes offer better overall spec but If @hughes31 likes them or can only use halfords this then i know his budget is £300 but the extra few pounds gives you a better bike.

Merlin again Road cc likes it too. Be worth making the journey to see one, but check with them before hand.
