I quite like the bike . I find that there are several bits that I like . I was previously against the trend of a sloping crossbar and ultra tall seat post . I am trying to give a fair comparison but I am finding a few points which I am finding strange .
I just re read 2 old reviews of the Carrera TdF . I know that this was a lower spec model now . I find that the yellow and black colour scheme is more attractive than the mostly Matt black of the Zelos . Both reviews stated that the gearing wasn't suited for hilly areas and more suited for the flats . The gearing fitted was 52/38 with 12/26 rear. This is slightly higher than the Zelos but is lower than my Raleigh Clubman . This is interesting as I have found the Clubman pretty good at climbing .
I will check the rear wheel bearings when the weather improves .
