The only time bananas go brown and mushy in my Camelback is when i forget to remove uneaten ones and leave them unmolested for several weeks.

Try to buy some Bananas that are still slightly green, they will still go black during a ride but it will take a little bit longer before it happens !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
