Evening all,

Apologies if this has been posted before but I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.

Is there something wrong with the Castelli suits on Amazon? I was looking at ones like this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Castelli-Cl...=UTF8&qid=1374698528&sr=1-2&keywords=Castelli

And others similar and they seem very cheap considering the jersey alone is normally more expensive than that...

I don't think I am missing anything obvious that makes it so cheap but I thought I would ask on here if anyone has any experience of them (good or bad!) before I buy anything.

Thanks for any help!

Doesn't look like the seller is UK based if takes 7-23 days to get to the UK

I would be suspicious as to whether they are genuine, although the quality may be ok - Castelli stuff is no doubt made in China anyhow

The description on the bottom of the page makes no sense and is exactly the same as a few more cheep cycle clothing web sites.

http://nalinicyclingclothes.forsalecheap247.info/ for example.

I would be suspicious. The material may be fine but its the quality of the padding that I would be worried about. No good having shorts that cut you to bits after 10 miles.

A lot of the Castelli kit on Amazon is old stock and old specification. I have the actual kit you link to but it was not purchased through Amazon and the quality is not what you expect from Castelli in 2013 as their materials and manufacturing processes have moved on.
It was OK kit in 2011 but in 2013 its quality and fit is comparable is not outstanding. I only use mine now for commuting.
Your buying the name, rather than an outstanding quality kit.. I'm a Castelli fan boy but would not buy 2011 Castelli kit myself these days, save your money.

That kit is not genuine Castelli. The cut of the garments is just wrong, they're hanging badly & pinching at multi-point seams, Castelli kit does NOT do this. I say this someone who buys £250-500 worth of Castelli kit a year.

This years apparel still has 'Made in Hungary' labels.
