I think it's a reasonably good outcome. Not a trivial expense, and as the judge said, the public approbation she has experienced was a significant element of her punishment.
What death threats and the footage being posted on the internet going around the world .....? Yeah right. There are some seriously unhinged nutters out there who would take a pop at her or her property. The woman lost her job as well and is now in fear of her life. The cat didn't die. How many cats get stuck in garden sheds/garages for days on end?
Killer drivers of cyclists don't even receive the £250 fine she received.
More troubling is why these CCTV cameras were in operation filming a wheelie bin in the first place? Perhaps
there is more to this than meets the eye? A nasty neighourhood dispute. The people who took and posted the footage on youtube should be prosecuted as they obviously didn't make warning signs sufficiently visible to inform people that CCTV was in operation.
