I have not had much luck with on line purchases lately, I think I might be jinxed:
I bought a USB DVD writer from Amazon - I sent it back for an exchange but that one didn't work either.
I bought some tub glue online, the picture was of a tin of mastik and the price was $25.99 plus postage but what they sent me was a small tube, I can buy this tube locally for $5 plus tax.
I placed an order with Planet X and was informed that my package was on its way, a week later I had an email thanking me for my return and that a refund had been issued. I never received nor did I return this package so I asked them to cancel the refund and send the stuff back - no reply - I asked for an explanation - no reply - I asked again more stiffly and got a reply four days later asking me to explain what my problem was. I didn't realize - Planet X is actually on a different planet.

This really is crap. It would seem they have dropped a bit of a clanger. In your situ I would want some comp for the aggro they had caused me. You are right to name and shame.
