are you sure its chairing? It could just be a tight spot in the chain.

Yep chains can have tight spots. I bought two kmc 1/8 chains from on-one for £10. They were awful and I thought my chain set was oval, when they wore out, I bought a sram chain and no longer had an oval chainring. I put it down to the chains having tight spots too, I had to run the really too tight to ensure they didn't derail.

I buy the cheap ones from the LBS round the corner from where I work and they often have tight spots in them.
