Does anyone on here ride a s5, and if so do they make a good road bike, am looking for a new weekend bike, the reveiws all sound good but they are normally done over a short period, so has anyone done any serious miles on one.

Bit of a longer term test here http://www.bikerumor.com/2012/03/26/long-term-review-cervelo-s5-aero-road-bike/
Cervelo.com forums also worth looking at. I know a guy who's got one, very happy with it.
Bear in mind that like most aero road bikes, this errs towards stiffness rather than comfort, so depending on your preferences this might not be right for you. If it were me, I'd look at the R-series Cervelos (and equivalents) instead.

Was looking at the r series but they don't do it in white, not a lover of black bikes, i think the r series would be an ideal bike, but i do like the look of the s5, i was hoping someone on here had one, then i would hopefully get an unbiased opinion.

R3 (2012 model at least) is definitely available in white, the 2013 in a (rather nice IMHO) silver......
Plenty of S5 riders on various fora (weightweenies, BR, Road Bike Review)....

Have been trying to source a r3 frame locally, can get the black, silver, or even the white and blue one, i just like the white and red. will get one from one of my local bikes shops, have a couple of good ones round this way.

the S5 should be fine for you.... so long as you don't ride in the wet - there isn't much clearance between the frame and rear wheel, has caused me some problems

That was one of my concerns, does the grit from the rear wheel damage the down tube, i asked this question in one of the cycle shop i visited yesterday, they said it did not, if that is not the prob you had can you let me know your probs,
Cheers Del.

hehe I guess they would say that.... well the down tube has some nice deep grooves now which is due to the grit from the roads. Not forgetting you can't have tyres bigger than 22mm and conti tyres are too tall so maybe not painting a good pic of the S5 now
