Chain Length Issue?

Good morning all. I fitted a new chain to the bike (Giant Rock S.E.). I split the new one a link shorter than old one and used quick link to join it up. Now the chain is slipping on the back cogs which do look a wee bit worn. Is this a chain length issue or do I need to replace the rear cogs. Any advice very welcome, Thank You

Almost certainly worn rear cogs. If the chain goes past a certain point of wear it will alter the rear cogs to the point that they need replaced as well. If you're really careless unlucky, you'll need to replace the front rings as well!
